On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,663. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.270 billion and the number of lots traded 12,158.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.964 billion followed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.786 billion, gold PKR 1.373 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.167 billion, copper PKR 203.827 million, DJ PKR 189.576 million, natural gas PKR 164.993 million, silver PKR 115.690 million, platinum PKR 113.726 million, SP500 PKR 103.361 million, Palladium PKR 54.925 million, Brent crude oil PKR 21.527 million and Japan Equity PKR 11.441 million.

In agriculture commodities one lot of cotton valued to PKR 0.514 million and 52,695 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 13.858 million were traded.
